Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are not happy with either Dembele or Coutinho and have asked Barcelona to look for someone else to support them.

Lionel Messi has his eyes set on a treble this year but Barcelona’s most important aim this season is to lift the UEFA Champions League. The Argentine has been their best player by a country mile and is showing his hunger as well as skill but pulling Barcelona out of the well literally every weekend.

The downside for Leo is that he has nobody else supporting him with the goal scoring. Since the start of 2019, Luis Suarez has failed to release the nitrous in front of the sticks. His inconsistencies and frailties have been exposed and February was a month to forget for the former Liverpool striker.

Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho have been extremely inconsistent as well. Kevin Prince-Boateng has turned out to be a laughing stock, whereas the likes of Munir El Hadaddi and Paco Alcacer never turned out to be good for Barcelona in spite of impressing elsewhere and doing so on a regular basis.

The 31-year-old has now asked Barcelona to look for a striker, but the names of Harry Kane or Roberto Firmino among other galactic signings have been ruled out because Messi wants to play next to Luis Suarez every week. And as a result, the Barcelona captain and the Uruguay international have come to terms and asked the club to make a signing in the summer.

Girona striker Christhian Stuani has caught their eye. Luis Suarez’s compatriot has 13 goals in 21 appearances this season in La Liga Santander, but Girona are still at risk of being relegated. As a result, a lot of top clubs are lining up bids for the Uruguay international with Barcelona being one of them.

Messi has asked Barcelona to place faith in strikers like Abel Ruiz and Rafa Mujica from their academy- La Masia- rather than spending truckloads of money on some big name. The potential signing of Luka Jovic remains to be an exception, but Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding 60 million euros for the Serb and Barcelona don’t feel the need to pay that much for him.

Do you think Christian Stuani will be a good signing for Barcelona given that he is available for just 15 million euros- his release clause?
