Real Madrid have become much better under Santiago Solari over the last few months since they were in September or October, but a few are still unhappy.

Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari has driven the team only upward since his arrival at the helm as a replacement to Julen Lopetegui. The defending champions of Europe have gone up from ninth to third in La Liga and find themselves in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. They are also favourites to beat Ajax Amsterdam to the Champions League quarter-finals thanks to a 2-1 first leg advantage.

The 42-year-old has made some vital as well as absurd decisions during his four months on the hot seat. Florentino Perez is happy with the work which Solari has put in, but the president’s idea is to hire someone who is better reputed and has much more experience. In such a sense, Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino top the list.

The likes of Karim Benzema, Dani Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez, Luka Modric, Vinicius Junior, Sergio Ramos and Thibaut Courtois are all in favour of Santiago Solari keeping his place as the Real Madrid boss next season after the change which he has brought in over the winter period. But five players demand for his exit at the end of this campaign.

Logically enough, Isco and Marcelo lead the list. The two were key players when Real Madrid lifted three successive UEFA Champions League titles and had all the support and affection of Zinedine Zidane. But Solari is treating them like nobodies and has preferred to isolate them of late, even going to the extent of calling the duo overweighed.

Keylor Navas is the third player who is extremely unhappy. The Costa Rica international was in between the sticks for the Copa and Champions League, but Solari’s appointment has seen his playing time being hindered to only the cup. Given that he was a massive force in Real Madrid’s UCL three-peat, Keylor is absolutely furious at not playing regularly.

Gareth Bale is not happy playing second fiddle to either of Lucas Vazquez or Vinicius Junior and hence, demands the exit of Santiago Solari once the season ends. His goal celebration, or the lack of it, spoke a lot about what Bale is going through at this moment. But even with his future unclear at the Bernabeu, he does not want to work with Santi Solari.

The last and most surprising name is that of Toni Kroos. The Germany international is seeking to drive Santiago Solari out because he is not a fan of his playing style. Kroos prefers a possession based gameplay and is looking to move on from the transitioning style which Solari has introduced. The former Bayern man feels that his involvement in the games is low despite being a regular starter.
