It has been reported by Italian News outlet Calciomercato that Belgian international Romelu Lukaku is looking to leave the club in the summer transfer window, but only if the Italian champions bid for his signature.

The Belgian frontman, who joined the Red Devils in 2017, for a massive €85 million price tag found it difficult to put together a consistent run of form when playing under Jose Mourinho. However, it seems that his fortunes have changed with Lukaku finding form under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjær.

This season the number 9 has managed to bag 12 goals in 26 Premier League appearances. With him scoring an 89th-minute winner in United’s latest 3-2 win over Southampton at Old Trafford.

More from Manchester United

It has been reported that United would be willing to listen to offers of low as €50-60 million for their number 9, leaving them with a hefty loss should things progress. With Inter Milan the other Italian outfit who have expressed interested in landing the striker, it seems that Lukaku would only be convinced to leave Manchester should Juventus submit an official bid.

Current Juventus attacker Pablo Dybala has recently been linked with a move away from the Turin club in the summer, potentially leaving manager Massimiliano Allegri turning to the Belgian in order to bolster his options going forward.

An Old Trafford source that spoke to The Sun regarding Lukaku has claimed

"“He’s an absolutely massive fan of Ronaldo. He has lost his regular spot but not rocked the boat at all so far.“The feelers are already out in both camps. We’ll have to wait and see but it’s going to be a busy summer.”"

Lukaku’s good form in recent games will leave Ole Gunnar Solskjær with an important decision to make regarding whether he wants to include Lukaku in United’s long term plans or if he would rather sanction the move abroad.

An attacking outfit of Ronaldo, Lukaku and Costa would certainly leave Juventus with one of the best in Europe, however, whether it will become a reality is yet to be seen.
