Eden Hazard is an important figure at Chelsea…
Chelsea needs to focus on the task ahead if they are to keep their cool in the Premier League. They sit in sixth place with a chance to move up to fifth if they win their game in hand. Obviously, their morale has been depleted in recent weeks, although they’ve won three of their last five league games.
They run the risk of losing Eden Hazard to Real Madrid. The Spanish side has been interested in his services for some time now, however, the interest could heat up since Zinedine Zidane’s rebirth. Teammate Emerson Palmieri was speaking with Sky Sports, in a rather downbeat manner.
"“I personally cannot see him leaving, but you never know in football. Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave. I still believe he will stay and we really want him to stay.” – Emerson Palmieri"
Is it all bad news?

Emerson does keep reiterating his confidence in Eden Hazard staying. However, would we really expect him not to? Even if he does feel like Hazard will leave, admitting that to the media will only get him in trouble behind the scenes.
The fact that Emerson has spoken out about it suggests that it is playing on the back of his and his teammates’ minds. Hazard is a valuable player to play alongside, so obviously losing him will come as a big blow to the Chelsea boys.
Real Madrid is snooping
Real Madrid is in a tough situation at the moment. However, they have the desire to turn it around, especially with their former manager Zinedine Zidane. In fact, it was largely due to his departure, along with Cristiano Ronaldo‘s, that Real Madrid went into a turmoil. They exited three competitions in the space of a week if you didn’t already know.
Signing Hazard will give them a boost in terms of flair and also creativity. It will aid their dynamism in the final third and bring out the best in their attackers. Of course, it seems inevitable that it’s only a matter of time before Gareth Bale leaves now, so Hazard will replace the Welshman easily.
Do you think Chelsea should put all their effort into getting Hazard to stay?
