Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way to sixth Champions League title, but he wants Juventus to get better next season by signing a Real Madrid midfielder.

Real Madrid announced that Zinedine Zidane would be the first team manager on a three-year contract. That signalled a lot of players being affected by the Frenchman’s tastes and preferences. One of the demands made by Zidane stated that James Rodriguez would not return from his loan at Bayern Munich- meaning the Colombian has to find new pastures.

James and Zidane were always on good terms, but the boss never favoured the former Monaco midfielder. James has been doing well on his loan at Bayern Munich, but an apparently negative relationship with first team coach Niko Kovac has meant that he will mostly not stay at Germany after the expiry of his loan deal.

It means that James will have to look for a new club and there is interest from England as well as Italy. Liverpool and Arsenal are the parties interested from the Premier League, whereas Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to rally a move for James Rodriguez to Juventus during the summer as the current Bayern man eyes a lookout for new clubs in the summer.

Bayern Munich still hold complete control over the player and can still choose to exercise their buyout clause of 45 million euros which pertains to the Colombia international. The only downside is that they may have to sell James elsewhere if he is unhappy and might end up incurring losses doing so. Moreover, Niko Kovac does not seem to be James’ fan either.

The end of 2018/19 would mean that James Rodriguez would have spent two seasons in the Bundesliga since being loaned out by Real Madrid. His goal scoring and playmaking abilities continue to be great and keep giving him a glimmer of hope of making it into the team should he manage to convince Zidane, potentially during pre-season.
