Real Madrid are looking for a complete revamp of their squad during the off-season. Sergio Ramos has now put his suggestions forward.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has taken complete command of the squad following his appointment at the Santiago Bernabeu for a second time. The Frenchman has already closed in on the signing of Porto defender Eder Militao who will be joining the club from the 1st of July this year, at the end of the 2018/19 season.

But Zizou is obviously not done with his business on the transfer front and has plans to buy and sell several players of the first team setup in a bid to overhaul his squad for better things next season. A lot of deadweight needs to be cleared while new players need to be injected into the roster. That said, Sergio Ramos has told Zidane to sell seven players.

More from Real Madrid

In defence, the name of Jesus Vallejo comes as no surprise. The Spaniard has failed to even play games in either of the last two seasons due to endless injury issues. He is not an accountable player and thus, Eder’s arrival could signal his end anyway. The next is a surprising name- Marcelo. The captain and Marcelo have apparently had a bust up, though Ramos did claim that there was nothing between the two. However, the 32-year-old believes that Sergio Reguilon needs more playing time and Marcelo’s presence won’t allow that. However, Zidane has kept Marcelo in his long-term plans.

There are several players who must be sold as per Sergio Ramos from the midfield. Casemiro is the first of those. The Brazil international has not had the best of seasons and Marcos Llorente’s uprising has seen the competition rise. Ramos demands the former Porto loanee’s sale, though it feels very improbable. The centre back also wants Kroos to be sold, so that Real Madrid can make room for Christian Eriksen. The Germany international has been linked with Man City of late after confirming desires of playing in the Premier League. The final midfielder is Isco, whose conduct has not been impressive. But Zidane does regard the Malaga born playmaker very highly.

From the front line, the captain believes that two players certainly need to leave the club. One of those is Gareth Bale whose issues are not just limited to injuries. Throwing tantrums, not being able to communicate in Spanish and spending numerous hours on the golfing track are factors which have seen Bale’s stock decrease in the Real Madrid dressing room. Finally, Ramos wants Mariano Diaz to be sold. The number seven has failed to impress this season and has scored only twice this season across all competitions and has been injured more than half the times. Lastly, the captain asks the club to sign an able competitor to Benzema.

Out of the seven players suggested by Sergio Ramos, who would the three choices you would sell?
