Real Madrid have put forward a swap deal in front of Liverpool that will surely benefit both parties tremendously.

Liverpool and Real Madrid clashed in the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final and that was their only recent meeting, even if you consider off-field matters. The Spaniards bagged a 3-1 win, but there have been unpleasant comments coming in from the Merseyside reps, especially against Sergio Ramos, who supposedly injured Mo Salah on purpose in that match and that proved to be a turning point.

However, it now looks like they could be set for some hot transfer market dealings if sources are to be trusted. The Whites are looking to sign a forward and have shortlisted Liverpool’s Sadio Mane amongst others. The Senegal international is seen as a cheaper option to Christian Eriksen, who could cost over 100 million euros, as well as a great fit into Madrid’s counter-attacking system.

Real Madrid are yet to learn about the price that they are supposed to pay if they were to sign Mane, but they are already evaluating a few options that could help them save on, or even earn them cash. As a result, they feel that shipping out Raphael Varane to the Premier League giants could see them become massive beneficiaries out of the deal as they will end up making some money too.

Raphael Varane’s future in Spain has come under speculation of late, and after winning 14 trophies during his six years at Real Madrid, the France international apparently wants a new challenge. The Premier League could be the perfect destination for Varane and with his current contract at the Bernabeu running until 2022, Madrid are in a position to demand 85 million euros from his suitors.

Despite the news, it seems very less likely that Varane will be allowed to leave easily. The World Cup winner is still young and can give a lot to the club and even he knows that Liverpool will be a step down from Real Madrid. Moreover, Zidane’s return is set to keep Raphael Varane involved regularly in the gameplay in spite of the already confirmed summer arrival of Eder Militao and the ever-presence of Nacho Fernandez.

On the other hand, Sadio Mane could be a super signing for Real Madrid. The former Southampton winger is criminally underrated, but has outperformed most of his Liverpool teammates this season. Mane is fast and has an amazing technique at finishing which makes him an ideal player for Real Madrid’s need. He will not be too expensive either and at 26, he still has at least five years if not more on the top-level.
