Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos could be headed to England for a new challenge during the summer with Man City interested.

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has been one of the club’s most consistent players since signing in 2014/15. The Germany international has won every honour at the club barring the Copa del Rey and is a proven winner from his Bayern Munich days. It now looks like the 29-year-old will be headed to England sooner rather than later.

There has been rumour mongering about the former Bayern Munich playmaker heading to Manchester City to ply his trade under Pep Guardiola. Kroos has made no secret of the fact that he wants to play in the Premier League one day, and a team as dominant and deep as the Citizens’ could be the alpha destination for the World Cup winner.

Replacing Toni Kroos with a consistent player is going to be one hell of a task, but Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane believe that it is very much possible. As a matter of fact, the dynamic duo has also shortlisted the player who could potentially fill the Germany international’s socks in case he ends up leaving this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot is the chosen one. Following a collapse in contract talks with the French champions, Rabiot has been isolated and not played a single minute for Thomas Tuchel’s side. A transfer away from the capital of France is inevitable and Rabiot will be available for free to any suitor that likes him.

The likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona have been linked with a move for Adrien Rabiot. While the midfielder considers the Lilywhites inferior to himself, the Catalans have cooled their interest in Rabiot after landing the signatures of Ajax Amsterdam star Frenkie de Jong for a fee reported to be around 75 million euros.

The fact that Adrien Rabiot will be available for a free transfer during the summer and will have little bargaining power is what persuades Real Madrid into keeping tabs on him. While his conduct at Paris Saint-Germain has not been bad, the club is not behaving right. At Real Madrid, Rabiot could be able to find his happy feet.
