Neres, who just made his international debut with Brazil last month, is garnering interest from the Reds after his outstanding form this term with Dutch giants Ajax.
Liverpool is the latest club to be keen on Brazilian winger David Neres, with Merseyside rivals Everton also planning to make a summer bid for the 22-year old.
According to Mirror UK, Borussia Dortmund also have it in mind to try and lure Neves away from Ajax if they lose English star Jadon Sancho this summer, while Paris Saint Germain have also been in the talks of a club who could try to sign the striker in the upcoming transfer window.

At this point, it looks like it’s just interest from Liverpool, but bringing in a player of this caliber could really help the depth of their attack and take it to new heights if Mane did depart. There have been some talks that the Senegalese international could go to Real Madrid in the summer, but nothing is confirmed. Los Blancos have a lot of money to spend this summer and are looking to revamp their whole squad. Mane, who is Liverpool’s most in-form attacker this season, has been spectacular.
Adding a player with the talent of Neres could be extremely beneficial to Jurgen Klopp’s side, especially after arguably his best season yet as a professional footballer. If Mane did leave, it would open up a spot in the starting eleven for Neres alongside fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino. However, if Mane does stay at Anfield, which is likely, it may not be the best move for the 22-year old Neres as he wouldn’t see a whole lot of playing time.
Neres scored a stunner in Wednesday’s Champions League quarterfinal clash with Juventus, equalizing the first leg after Cristiano Ronaldo scored a diving header. Here’s a look at Neres breathtaking goal, where he placed a perfect shot in the right corner:
He gave Ajax a solid chance of advancing with that firecracker, heading into Turin for the second leg tied at one.
Neres has bagged eight goals in the Eredivisie this year, also tallying 11 assists. He’s also scored twice and assisted two in Champions league play as well. He has emerged as a very important piece of this Ajax side, who has been a very pleasant surprise on the European stage this year with the likes of Frenkie De Jong and Matthijs De Ligt.
Unless one of the front three at Liverpool leave this summer, Neres would probably be better off at clubs like Dortmund, PSG, or Everton. He is a top talent who is deserving of regular time on the pitch, but regardless of where he ends up, He’ll be a very nice addition to any club with a special ability to score goals and set them up just as well.
Neres is currently under contract through 2022 with Ajax, but given his impressive form, it’s very likely that he will end up with a big club this summer.
