On Monday, one of Real Madrid’s senior-most members of the board of directors Jose Angel Sanchez spoke to Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett and several other representatives of the Wales international. In a cordial and formal meeting, Sanchez informed Gareth Bale’s management of the Whites’ plans of selling him after the end of this season. Despite Jonathan Barnett’s insistence of his client wanting to stay, the club has made a call.
While Gareth Bale’s representatives have been asked to find a new club for the 29-year-old, Jose Angel Sanchez informed the player’s agent that Real Madrid appreciates the Welshman’s conduct and commitment during his six seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. As a gesture of goodwill from Real Madrid to Gareth Bale, the player will get the choice of the club he wants to depart for so long as the transfer offer is in close range.
Nothing has been discussed about Gareth Bale’s transfer fee, which is likely to be around 75 million euros. Bayern Munich and Manchester United are the club’s which have been credited with interest in the Wales international. The Bundesliga giants are looking for a squad revamp and hope to reassert their authority in the UEFA Champions League. On the other hand, the Red Devils are trying to bring in a forward. Should Bale prefer a move to the Old Trafford, Los Blancos will try to strip Paul Pogba off Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
