Real Madrid has a tough decision on their hands…

Real Madrid is undergoing some vast improvements. Nobody can say they weren’t needed, either. The Spanish capital looked down and out under their previous manager Santiago Solari, which is why they recently recalled Zinedine Zidane to get things going again. If anyone is to make Real Madrid tick, it’s Zidane.

Looking ahead to the transfer window, the Frenchman will be looking to sign some players to make the environment feel fresh. According to AS, Los Blancos are willing to sell Toni Kroos this summer in order to make room for Paul Pogba and Christian Eriksen. Here are five reasons why Pogba could easily replace Kroos…

1. Paul Pogba will have an idol to look up to

Being dubbed as France’s next best midfielder, I’m almost certain that Pogba will have watched footage of Zidane. The Real Madrid boss is one of, if not THE best French midfielder to grace the game. He was elegant in his approach, but he also knew how to get things done.

Pogba is similar to how Zidane was as a player. Pogba likes to drive forward with urgency, involving his teammates in the game with his creativity. He also has the ability to take on a shot from distance, something which Zidane didn’t do as often but whenever he did, he set the world alight.

Kroos does feel a connection to Zidane, that’s been shown in the past. However, sometimes it’s best for a restart and if we’re judging this conundrum on how the player integrates with the manager, then Pogba gets my vote.
