Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic is a hot property in the transfer market. There are several European giants interested in his services and reportedly, Real Madrid and Barcelona lead the chase for him. The needs of the two sides are contrasting but equally grave, and so there is a price tussle going on between them.
Barcelona want Luka Jovic as an understudy to Luis Suarez, who is slowing down gradually. The Catalans have offered a decent wage to the Serbia international, but his minutes will be limited. Barcelona’s idea was to induct Jovic gradually into the regular team and make him accustom to a new country and a club of much larger magnitude.

On the other hand, Real Madrid are looking for an out and out striker. Karim Benzema has scored 26 times this season, but he can do the same even when playing in a hindered position. That said, Luka Jovic will definitely outdo his goal tally from this season thanks to the service he will be receiving at Madrid.
Luka Jovic’s father has already spoken of interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona. Milan Jovic said that his son does not prefer moving to Catalonia because of the lack of guarantees over playing time. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are more or less certain to make him a regular in their squad right from the off.
Los Blancos’ have now eclipsed their arch rivals in the pursuit of Luka Jovic as Eintracht Frankfurt are ready to sell him to Real Madrid over Barcelona, as per claims. The German club believes that their relationship with Los Merengues could help them trigger a lot more deals in the future and another smooth transaction would only do better.
Two years ago, Jesus Vallejo spent a year on loan in Frankfurt while last year Omar Mascarell went to Germany to ply his trade at the top level, away from the spotlight on Real Madrid. Lucas Torro is another one of Real Madrid’s academy products who is spending a stint of his first division career on Eintracht Frankfurt’s books.
Luka Jovic, 21, has scored 25 goals this season, with 17 of them coming in the Bundesliga and the other 8 having been scored in the UEFA Europa League. The player is worth approximately 60 million euros and the Frankfurters will sell him to Real Madrid if they come up with a reasonable offer. Meanwhile, preliminary talks have already taken place.
