Zinedine Zidane is not taking any prisoners at Real Madrid…
Real Madrid recently recalled their previous manager Zinedine Zidane to take charge, after things were going down the pan with Santiago Solari. He has already made an impact both on the pitch and off the pitch, making his plans clear for the summer. There is a lot to look forward to in terms of incomings, but rumour has it some players will face the chop.
According to The Independent, Zidane is desperate to part ways with Gareth Bale. So much so, he has told the board that the Welshman must be sold even if it means losing money. This is quite the statement to make but it’s not hard to see why Zidane has made such a decision.

In case you didn’t know, Bale has been struggling in terms of form for a long time. His heart just doesn’t seem in the role anymore, despite what many predicted of him at the start of the season. I, like many, thought that Bale would be a changed player after his stellar cameo in the Champions League final last season. However, he has probably been worse off than he was last season and it doesn’t look like changing anytime soon.
The thing is, Bale and Zidane just don’t get on. It’s a shame really because the Welshman could learn plenty from the Los Blancos legend and similarly, Zidane could gain plenty from mentoring the dynamic winger. Some things just aren’t meant to be.
Bale has scored just 13 goals and provided five assists across all competitions for Real Madrid this season. This is by no means good enough for an attacker of his calibre. He should easily be in the 20s, and in fact, this should be expected of him given Cristiano Ronaldo‘s untimely departure.
Real Madrid is expected to be pursuing moves for some Premier League stars. These include, but are not limited to, Eden Hazard, Sadio Mane and Christian Eriksen. Some of the best names in football currently, so losing out on Bale won’t be much of a significance for the Madrid fans.
Do you think Real Madrid can afford to lose money on Gareth Bale?
