Juventus looks to Barcelona in their hopes of pushing for the Champions League
Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus are looking to raid Barcelona as their cravings for the Champions League are postponed until next year now.
Cristiano Ronaldo has already secured the Serie A title in his first season with Juventus, but it set to miss out on the Coppa Italia and UEFA Champions League. What’s more antagonizing for the former Real Madrid forward is that he is now mostly certain to see his Barcelona rival Lionel Messi lift the Ballon d’Or by the end of this year.

The Catalans are edging closer to a treble and Lionel Messi has undoubtedly been their protagonist. Cristiano Ronaldo has ambitious plans for the Old Lady of Turin next year and wants to win the UEFA Champions League to assert his authority on the continental front from a third different country.
The midfield was a weak link for the Turin based side against Ajax Amsterdam and the second leg was won because of the exploits in the engine room. That said, Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic has already been associated with a transfer to Juventus and Samuel Umtiti might be following the Croat as well. However, Diario GOL reports that Ronaldo wants another Barcelona player.
The Portugal international is not happy with Wojciech Szczesny in between the sticks and feels that the Polish shot-stopper is nowhere close to his predecessor- Gianluigi Buffon. Indeed Juventus have conceded some cheap goals this season, so maybe an upgrade behind the defence could help them.
Cristiano Ronaldo has now asked Juventus to sign Barcelona goalie Jasper Cillessen in the summer. The Netherlands’ stopper could be on the move in the summer after being second fiddle to Marc Andre Ter Stegen for a while. To be honest, he is anyway too good to be benched week in and week out so a move would be his best option.
Barcelona appreciates Jasper Cillessen’s contribution to the club over the last few seasons as well as his cordial behaviour in spite of not playing often and may allow him to leave for a cheaper price tag than what he is originally valued at. With that said, a transfer to Juventus could be a superb move for the Dutchman.
How much should Barcelona sell Jasper Cillessen for given that he might want to leave?
