Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is plotting a lucrative raid on one of Europe’s powerhouses during the transfer period.

Real Madrid’s manager Zinedine Zidane is looking to winnow his squad for the upcoming season. Los Blancos do not have anything to play for in their remaining matches for the season and those will only determine the futures of players at the club. While a lot of departures are expected, there won’t be a shortage of arrivals either.

More from Real Madrid

According to the AS, Zidane wants Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho at the Santiago Bernabeu next season. The Englishman has been valued at 80 million euros by the Bundesliga giants, but they will certainly demand a three figured million given the demand in the market for him.

Jadon Sancho has 12 goals and 18 assists in this season’s Bundesliga campaign and joins an elite list of players who have double figures in assists as well as goals that comprises of only Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard in addition to him. At 19 years old, the former Manchester City forward is already a full package.

Real Madrid are currently following a policy of bringing in youngsters from South America and Europe, such as Vinicius Junior, Andriy Lunin and Brahim Diaz, whereas Rodrygo Goes is also expected to join them during the summer. Jadon Sancho is aged under 20 and very much fits the bill that adheres to the latest agenda of the Whites.

The Whites have also promoted players from Real Madrid Castilla of late and the average age of the squad is just 26.3 this season, which is certainly commendable given that their core players such as Marcelo, Sergio Ramos, Keylor Navas, Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos are all in and around their 30s.

Sancho has four caps to his name for the Three Lions and given that he can play on either side of the attacking wings, he would be an ideal fit. Furthermore, the Whites would once again beat Barcelona in their hunt for a target and would also cast doubts over the future of Gareth Bale, whose future is already under a lot of speculation.
