The Blues loaned the 21-year old out to Aston Villa for the season and he has thrived, sitting second in the Championship in scoring.

With Eden Hazard‘s departure from Stamford Bridge looking more like a reality each day, Chelsea needs to be smart on how they can replace the Belgian international. They have shown interest in several players across Europe, but they still face a transfer ban. The blues tried to protest it, but FIFA denied the protest. With this ban, Sarri’s side isn’t allowed to sign any players for the next two transfer windows.

That is obviously a huge problem for Chelsea, but they do have several quality players who are currently on loan.

The one name that jumps out is Aston Villa loanee, Tammy Abraham. The in-form striker has been spectacular this season for the Villans, scoring 25 times in just 37 appearances. He was also just named to the Premier Football Association’s Championship team of the year, a huge accolade for the youngster.

According to the Daily Star, Everton is keen on the center forward, as they look to strengthen their attacking options up front.

But with this transfer ban in full effect for Chelsea, they should finally be giving Abraham the chance he deserves in first-team football at Stamford Bridge. He shouldn’t be going on loan anywhere else.

It’s time to give Abraham his chance

Abraham currently has three years remaining on his Chelsea contract, only featuring for the Blues twice since 2016. He’s enjoyed successful loan spells with both Swansea City and Bristol City before breaking out with Villa this season.

His outstanding form for Aston Villa is a vital reason they’re set to move up to the Premier League as he has been absolutely lethal in front of the net. His big stature has helped him score a lot of goals with his head this year. He’s got great strength on the ball and the ultimate precision when it comes to finishing in the final third.

It should be an absolute no-brainer for Chelsea to bring him back from the loan spell and pair him up with fellow youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi up front next season. They’re both young, hungry, and ready to prove themselves in England’s top tier. Both have already made their debuts with the England National team and both impressed Gareth Southgate.

If Hazard really does leave for Real Madrid, they need to turn to their youth with this transfer ban. The first step would be giving Hudson-Odoi more playing time next year when he’s back from a torn Achilles injury.

Letting Tammy Abraham go on loan to another club, especially a Premier League rival like Everton or Wolverhampton, two clubs who have shown interest in the striker, would be foolish. He has proven that he can score goals on a very consistent basis and that’s something that Chelsea lack. I know it’s been in the Championship, but it’s still very impressive.

In the end, I’m sure Tammy Abraham would love to play with Chelsea and break out with the first team. I do believe he has all the talent to do so; he just needs the opportunity. Obviously, he isn’t going to jump into the starting eleven and be a starter immediately, but when he does get the chance to be on the pitch, I believe the 21-year old starlet will make the most of it and showcase what he does best; score goals.

Chelsea must bring Tammy Abraham back from his loan spell by the season’s end.
