Some of Real Madrid’s most senior players are absolutely unhappy with the club’s latest decision on the transfer market.
Real Madrid has more or less closed in on the signing of Chelsea winger Eden Hazard. The Whites are close to agreeing on personal terms with the Belgium international while the agreement of a transfer fee with the west Londoners is also on its verge. Definitely, Zinedine Zidane is hoping that Eden Hazard can replicate this season’s form at Madrid.

While the signing of the former Lille forward is just a matter of time and is surely a warmly welcoming sight for the Real Madrid fans, some of the club’s senior players are not happy with the board and Zinedine Zidane, according to the Fox Sports. Real Madrid’s captain Sergio Ramos has not liked what the newspapers have reported with respect to Hazard’s wages.
It has been thought that the 28-year-old will be earning a massive salary of 24 million euros per year. In the process, he will be leapfrogging some of the club’s most senior players and become the highest paid player. That said, Sergio Ramos is not happy with the club’s decision in satisfying Hazard’s demands and will lead a rebellion along with the other players.
Sergio Ramos apparently resorted to walking into Florentino Perez’s office to discuss the concern of not just himself, but most of his teammates. Not just Ramos, but Luka Modric, Marcelo and Toni Kroos also feel that the club is being unfair and indirectly not paying much heed to their contributions over the last few years.
Eden Hazard’s salary of 24 million euros is definitely outrageous and not something he deserves on his first contract at Real Madrid without adding anything to the club. While Real Madrid’s mainstays are right in their own ways, the club will also be giving a leeway to other incoming players to demand as much as they like and that will only go on to affect the dressing room’s atmosphere.
