Real Madrid are looking to their PR team as they look to ruin Barcelona’s hopes of clean sweeping the trophies up for grab.
Real Madrid have four matches to play in the 2018/19 season and irrespective of their outcomes, they are certain to lose out on any trophy. La Liga has been grabbed by Barcelona, whereas the Copa del Rey final will be contested by them versus Valencia. The Champions League is currently a four-way race between Spurs, Ajax, Liverpool and Barcelona, which the Catalans are tipped to win.

The Whites certainly are wishing the worst for their rivals who already have a trophy in the bag and are looking to derail their bid for the UEFA Champions League, and ultimately the treble, as per Fox Sports. The Blaugrana will be playing Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final over a two-legged affair over the next ten days and in case they prevail, they would play either of Ajax or Spurs in the final.
That makes Barcelona clear favourites to lift the Champions League and it is not something which Real Madrid want to see. Florentino Perez is looking for the assistance of his PR team and wants to steal the spotlight around the 1st of June, when the Champions League Final is scheduled to be played. The Madrid president is looking to announce the arrivals of potential galactic signings Eden Hazard and Paul Pogba.
Both the Premier League superstars have been tipped to move to Real Madrid, and Perez believes that should he make the official announcements regarding his latest buys just ahead of the Final, Barcelona’s dressing room will clearly be distracted and would divert some of its focus to the latest happening at the home of their fiercest rivals, who will be a contrast of what they were this season.
A 1-0 win over Levante on Saturday evening, courtesy of Lionel Messi’s goal saw Barcelona win their 26th La Liga title. Ernesto Valverde’s men now play Liverpool twice in the Champions League semi-final as they look to conquer Europe for the first time since 2015. However, ahead of that, they do have a Copa del Rey Final clash versus Valencia on May 25 as they eye a fifth successive Spanish Cup triumph.
Do you think Barcelona will be affected by the magnitude of Real Madrid’s announcements?
