Things have not been working out at Stamford Bridge for the Chelsea boss…
Chelsea finds themselves in fourth place of the Premier League, although it is not indicative of Maurizio Sarri’s work. In fact, the Italian has been nothing short of lacklustre throughout the season. Chelsea has just gotten lucky from the teams around them performing poorly. This was not expected of Sarri, who played some of the most attractive football in the football while managing Napoli.
Now, according to Evening Standard, Sarri is wanted back in Italy. However, it is not Napoli who wants his services. AC Milan is looking to reignite their long-awaited push for European dominance by signing Sarri.

In case you didn’t know, AC Milan is on a run of poor form. While things looked steady to start off with in his reign, Gennaro Gattuso has been treading on thin ice this season. Milan finds themselves with just one win in their last five games, and with Atalanta in impressive form, it looks likely that Milan will fall further behind to sixth place.
Gone are the days where Milan were European powerhouses. However, with the players available to them and the transfer pull they still have, this shouldn’t be the case. It will take more than a change of managerial personnel, but if they can secure a solid manager then it is a step in the right direction.
Sarri hasn’t been hitting top gear in the Premier League but he definitely knows how to do so in his home country. I assume it will take some effort from Milan to persuade Sarri to join them given his ties with Napoli, however, if anyone can, then AC Milan can.
Managing at the San Siro is the ultimate dream for any manager, although it would help if Milan picked up their form towards the end of the season. Promising a reasonably sized transfer budget could also help for sure.
Do you think AC Milan will be able to sway Maurizio Sarri?
