Real Madrid is not willing to meet Paul Pogba’s demands, although they still want to sign him…

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is a hot topic of discussion right now. With the summer transfer window fast approaching, the Frenchman is thought to be a target of Real Madrid. Now, according to ESPN, it’s reported that he will need to take a pay cut if he is to join Los Blancos this summer since they do not want to meet his excessive wage demands.

However, I assume that this will not sway Pogba’s choice. While money is an important factor, Pogba isn’t the type to jeopardise his career over it. In fact, he always wants best and he will go to any length to receive that. In this instance, the best choice is to join Real Madrid, even if it means taking a pay cut.

More from Real Madrid

Manchester United doesn’t look like improving any time soon and, quite frankly, their season has been inexcusable. They have no chance of winning any silverware and, let’s face it, what improvements have they actually made under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer? He looked good at the start when he was interim manager, but upon being employed full time, the Norwegian has looked lacklustre.

Pogba may have a future under Solskjaer, I would be stupid to brush this concept aside. Ole is clearly passionate about getting the best out of him and others, and Pogba reacts well to this type of management. However, it’s the position of the club which I think will concern Pogba.

It’s uncertain whether or not Manchester United will be playing in the Champions League next season, although at this stage it looks unlikely. Pogba needs to be playing at this level if he is serious about becoming the best midfielder in the world.

Working with Zinedine Zidane will not only guarantee Champions League football, but a pretty good chance at winning it. Let’s not forget that the Frenchman has won the trophy in the last three seasons, although this streak will be broken this season.

Zinedine Zidane is one of the best French midfielders to ever grace the pitch. Pogba probably grew up watching him and his notorious first touch, therefore he will act as a much better mentor than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ever could.

Do you think Real Madrid will sign Paul Pogba this summer?
