Real Madrid have been asked to sacrifice one of their brightest diamonds if they are to close in on the signing of a Premier League superstar.

Real Madrid are close to signing Eden Hazard from Chelsea and Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt during the upcoming summer. However, the Whites are not seemingly satisfied with their probable signings and have not yet called it a day as far as the signing of Sadio Mane from Liverpool is concerned.

More from Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane believes that the Senegal international’s counter-attacking and speed would be capabilities could be of huge benefit to Real Madrid’s offensive department and wants the club to go all-in for him. However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has denied selling the player who has arguably been his side’s most important one this season.

The former Borussia Dortmund is ready to give the deal a second thought if Real Madrid are ready to offer a player in exchange. In the grind, Los Blancos were willing to give away Gareth Bale to the Merseyside club and close in on Sadio Mane’s signing, though they will need to pay some amount of cash as well.

However, Jurgen Klopp has rejected the Whites’ proposal and has instead asked them to part ways with Marco Asensio if they want to sign Sadio Mane, as per Fox Sports. The Majorcan youngster has been fairly quiet this season, but Zinedine Zidane is managing to rejuvenate him and has already played him in more league games than Solari and Lopetegui combined.

Jurgen Klopp feels that the 23-year-old could be an asset for Liverpool and his exploits on the left wing could be equal to those of Sadio Mane. Moreover, Marco Asensio’s finishing from long-range and age are two other factors which have led to the ex-Mainz manager enquiring about the forward’s services.

If Los Blancos give Asensio for Mane, how much extra cash must they be paying?
