One of Real Madrid’s most sought-after players has decided to leave the club after falling out with manager Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid are three matches away from bidding adieu to one of their most tumultuous seasons in a history spanning over 117 years. The Whites have lost ten league matches, had three managers, been knocked out of the Champions League and to make everything worse, seen one of their most legendary players Iker Casillas suffer a heart attack too.

The Whites are starting to plan for next season now and want to take revenge for everything that has gone against them this time out, but that is definitely not happening without a few players coming in and a few making way for the newcomers. As per Fox Sports, Zinedine Zidane has shortlisted Luka Modric among those to sell.

Luka Modric has been integral for Zinedine Zidane’s successes in the last three seasons and even won the Ballon d’Or for his relentless contribution to Real Madrid and Croatia in 2018. But now the manager believes that the former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder’s performances have taken a dip due to age and it is the correct time to sell him.

The Croatian midfielder on the other hand has apparently not been able to stand Zinedine Zidane in the dressing room and will not be willing to work with him next season. Moreover, Modric is furious with the fact that he was not allowed to leave last summer in spite of Inter Milan’s interest.

Meanwhile, Zinedine Zidane has made Florentino Perez aware of his decision pertaining to Luka Modric and has asked the President to sign either of Paul Pogba or Christian Eriksen as replacement to him. That said, two huge egos have clashed at Madrid and with only one of the entities set to stay, all signs point towards Modric vacating the roster.
