David de Gea

The recent rumors and speculation regarding his future has clearly affected David de Gea, who seems to have lost his focus. The Spaniard has cost his side quite a few times in the last couple of months, but on his day he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

With his contract set to expire in 2020, Manchester United need to make a decision on his future in the summer. The club’s preference has to be finding an agreement on a new contract with de Gea. But if a deal cannot be agreed, it might be time to cash in rather than risk losing him for free next summer.

Verdict: Keep (but listen to offers in case he doesn’t sign extension)

Sergio Romero

Romero has been a solid back-up for de Gea since his arrival on a free transfer. He has been dependable whenever called upon and seems to be happy in his back-up role. His contract expires in 2021 and it makes sense to keep him no matter what the future holds for de Gea.

Verdict: Keep

Lee Grant

Every club needs three goalkeepers and Grant being there allows both Pereira and Henderson to get some much needed first team experience on loan. He is under contract for another year, so United should keep him and let him go for free in 2020.

Verdict: Keep

Joel Pereira

Pereira is rated very highly at Manchester United but has struggled to get game time in his last two loan spells. If he wants to secure a long term future at the club, he needs to go on loan next season at a club where he will be first choice.

Verdict: Loan

Dean Henderson

Henderson has played a vital role in Sheffield United’s promotion winning campaign this season, keeping the most clean sheets in England’s second division. The Englishman has a bright future ahead of him and sending him out on loan again would make a lot of sense, especially if de Gea agrees to stay at United.

Verdict: Loan
