Real Madrid have decided to reopen negotiations which a transfer target who they had earlier planned on hiring, but passed on later.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is plotting for a busy summer as he looks to revamp his squad during the off-season. The Frenchman has returned to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium as he hopes to take the Whites back to their glory days and one of his gravest requirements is a successor to Cristiano Ronaldo.

More from Real Madrid

The Portugal international scored 450 goals in 9 seasons for Los Blancos , averaging 50 per season. In 2018/19, Karim Benzema has struck 30 times for the Merengues, but he is still 40% short of what Ronaldo did. Others like Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio and Isco have struggled to score goals too, as has Mariano Diaz.

According to the Diario GOL, Florentino Perez is thinking of reopening the prospect of signing Neymar this summer. The Brazilian has already said that he wants to play next to Eden Hazard which is only practical at Real Madrid now whereas even Paris Saint-Germain seem to be frustrated with his behaviour.

His rant on the referee after their Champions League elimination which eventually led to him being banned for three matches and then possibly punching a fan following the French champions’ loss to Rennes in the Coupe de France are some incidents which have been looked down upon by the Paris Saint-Germain directors.

Apparently, the French giants have now reduced their valuation of Neymar from 300 million euros to 250 million euros and Florentino Perez believes that he has the perfect opportunity to sign one of the best as well as marketable players across the world. Probably, only Kylian Mbappe is ahead of Neymar in that aspect, but his price tag is extortionate.

Zidane is still iffy over whether Neymar will be a good addition to Real Madrid because of his ego issues and propensity to have a regular nightlife. Sergio Ramos is already a colossal figure in the Madrid dressing room and with Paul Pogba likely to arrive as well, the Real Madrid boss doesn’t want turbulent egos to clash at the club.

Is 250 million euros a reasonable price tag for Neymar?
