Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas may be leaving during the summer and his wife has dropped a big hint regarding his future at the club.
Real Madrid’s goalkeeping situation is finally set to get sorted now that the season has ended. During the team’s 2-0 defeat to Real Betis in its last match day of the campaign, Keylor Navas was given the nod in between the posts, but given his post-match reaction towards the fans, many are of the opinion that it was his last act in the Whites’ shirt.

The Costa Rican goalie’s involvement has decreased tremendously since the 2018/19 campaign particularly due to the arrival of Thibaut Courtois. Earlier on, Zinedine Zidane was expected to show favouritism towards Keylor Navas and pick him ahead of the Belgian but the coach has kept his cards close to his chest and given equal opportunities to both his keepers in addition to son Luca Zidane.
Come next season, everything points towards Thibaut Courtois being the first choice goalkeeper. The former Chelsea keeper has the age advantage over his South American competitor whereas he has been one of the best keepers in the world lately. That being said, Madrid only recently spent around 25 million euros for him and wouldn’t sell him off so soon.
Spanish daily AS has reported that Keylor Navas’ wife Andrea Salas has dropped a massive hint over her husband Keylor Navas’ next destination. The couple was recently holidaying in Portugal’s city of Porto and Andrea posted a picture on her Instagram handle with a Spanish caption translating to “we’re staying!”
It would not come as a surprise to see Keylor Navas head to Porto but it would certainly be a step down for a player who has given his heart and soul to Real Madrid over the last five years. The Portuguese giants might once again look to the 13 time European champions to rectify their goalkeeping position after Iker Casillas may be forced to retire following a tragic heart attack.
Would Porto be an ideal destination for Navas or should he consider bigger clubs?
