Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and president Florentino Perez have agreed to sign five players worth a combined 485 million euros this summer.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has narrowed down his list of transfer targets to five players now. The Whites had several targets on their radar for a productive transfer window this summer, but with 485 million euros as the budget, Fox Sports has claimed that Zidane will now begin to pursue moves for most of his top targets.

More from Real Madrid

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is going to be the most expensive signing in all probability and would earn the Red Devils 185 million euros. Failure in qualifying for the Champions League and thereby taking a pay cut has seen the midfielder be the subject of latest transfer speculations.

Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen will be another midfielder that will arrive for 100 million euros. The Dane has a contract at Spurs until June 2020 and so the Lilywhites think that selling him would be the best option. That is not where Real Madrid’s raid on the Premier League ends because they will be investing a further 100 million euros on Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard.

Luka Jovic of Eintracht Frankfurt was expected to sign for the Whites last week for 60 million euros, but the Bundesliga team’s demands meant that the deal virtually collapsed. 100 million seems too big a price for the Serb but it does look like there will be an agreement reached between Frankfurt and Madrid imminently.

Ferland Mendy from Olympique Lyon could be another arrival as Zinedine Zidane wants competition for Marcelo. What will happen to Sergio Reguilon remains unclear but Theo Hernandez may be sold before even coming back from his loan stint at Real Sociedad. Mendy would cost the Whites 40 million euros.

Perez is not going to just spend money and there are going to be a significant number of sales as well. Gareth Bale, Dani Ceballos and Marcos Llorente have already been asked to find clubs for themselves and Keylor Navas is set to follow the trio. James Rodriguez wouldn’t be bought by Bayern Munich but he will not stay at Madrid either. All these sales will earn them 300 million euros or so.
