James Milner’s time with Liverpool may be coming to an end, but he could see his career take a dramatic ending…
James Milner is a Premier League cult hero. Having lifted the prestigious title twice with Manchester City, he still doesn’t get as much recognition as he deserves. Playing with Liverpool now, of course, he has the chance to add to his trophy cabinet when they come up against Spurs in the Champions League final.
However, he may not be a Premier League player for much longer. This is according to the Metro, who have reported that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in signing him. This would be quite the move for Milner, and the first time he would hone his craft abroad.

On the whole, Milner is a very versatile player. He can play either on defence or in midfield, with strengths in both positions. Under Jurgen Klopp, he has looked best at full-back, but now that he is ageing, he is more suited to the defensive midfielder role.
Milner is a real team player. Even the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have benefitted from playing with him. While he won’t exactly pick out through balls all the time, he has added to Liverpool’s creative side. It helps that he is also a very able penalty taker, converting many with aplomb.
It’s unlike PSG to pursue a move for a player like Milner, however, it is smart thinking. Thomas Tuchel will have watched his countryman Klopp’s team, so he will know all about Milner. He has plenty to offer, so it’s about time to he had a chance to prove it abroad.
The move would benefit James Milner. While the ideal situation is to remain with Liverpool on their quest to superclub status again, he has to be realistic and see that there is not much room for him anymore. The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Naby Keita and Fabinho make it hard for the veterans since they bring an abundance of energy. Still, Milner would not leave Liverpool on bad terms, in fact, it would be quite the opposite tale.
Do you think James Milner would fit in at PSG?
