Thomas Tuchel’s comments will please Real Madrid fans…
Real Madrid is looking for a serious turnaround. Many players are bound to exit the Santiago Bernabeu this summer but fans hope many will enter too. With Zinedine Zidane at the helm, anything is possible so it will be a big few months for Los Blancos.
According to Sky Sports, they can take a huge confidence boost. In their quest for Neymar, Thomas Tuchel has not been able to guarantee the future of him or his companion Kylian Mbappe. The English outlet reports that Tuchel wants Neymar to stay, however, he is not willing to say for certain whether Neymar will be a PSG player next season.

Obviously, it’s an interpretation game. Hints are easily taken, so if you view Tuchel’s comments as general managerial jargon, then you won’t think much of this news. However, you can only connect the dots going backwards, so time is the only teller in this story.
Neymar signed from PSG for a world record fee from Barcelona. It’s not yet been revealed, but I assume that PSG’s asking price will be even higher than what they signed him for in 2017 (£198m).
Joining Real Madrid would be a huge statement from Neymar, although he would benefit. It doesn’t look likely that PSG is ready to challenge for the Champions League anytime soon, whereas the Spanish capital will soon be back with Zidane at the helm. Neymar has conquered La Liga before, with the help of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at Barcelona. Real Madrid is a different kettle of fish, however, Neymar could make it.
Zidane does not have Cristiano Ronaldo to help him lift his fourth Champions League trophy. It also looks likely that Gareth Bale won’t play a big part if any next season. That said, the signing of Neymar would be both timely and effective. If anyone can get the best out of Neymar, Zidane can.
Where do you think Neymar will be playing next season?
