Real Madrid’s senior most players is unhappy with his current wage and a recent fallout with Zinedine Zidane has seen him consider his future of late.

Real Madrid have had an absolutely horrible campaign and it has been arguably their worst in a history spanning over a century. They finished third in the league, 19 points behind winners Barcelona, and were kicked out of the Copa del Rey semi-finals by their Catalan rivals. Ajax Amsterdam made utter mincemeat of the Whites in the Champions League round of 16.

More from Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane’s appointment was made to correct the disaster that has taken place over the last ten months and the Frenchman will need a transfer window to make the desired changes and eventually stamp his authority on the side like he did in his first stint. A lot of players could be sold and as per the Fox Sports, Sergio Ramos may be one of them.

The Whites’ captain missed out on the Champions League round of 16 second leg in which Madrid lost 4-1 through suspension. Since then, he has not been on the best of terms with Florentino Perez and the Spain international reportedly even told the president to pay his dues as per his Madrid contract and that Ramos would leave during the summer.

Sergio Ramos has a contract until two more years in Madrid, but wants a raised payment. However, Florentino Perez does not have Ramos’ requests on top of his agendas and that has left the captain fuming. Moreover, Zinedine Zidane’s failure in backing him has only gone and further alienated Ramos over the last few days.

Liverpool and Manchester United are the two clubs thought to be monitoring the Ramos situation, but in all rationalities it looks like the central defender will end up staying at the Bernabeu. A similar fiasco was witnessed by the footballing world back in 2015 and it only resulted in Sergio Ramos getting a higher wage than before.

Should Real Madrid sell Sergio Ramos, how much transfer fee must they demand this summer?
