With the Champions League Final just around the corner, there are several things to keep an eye on for a Liverpool victory…

This season’s Champions League has provided us with a number of amazing results and unforgettable comebacks, principally from the two teams that will meet this Saturday night in Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium to compete for the ultimate club trophy in European football. Liverpool and Spurs have been on two separate journeys this season, both with their highs and lows, but find themselves on equal footing for an extremely anticipated matchup between two of England’s heavyweights.

After falling short to Manchester City by a single point to stake claim to the Premier League title this season, Liverpool still has its sights set on hardware, returning to the Champions League Final after a heartbreaking defeat to Real Madrid last season. It won’t be any easier this go around, as their opponents Tottenham Hotspur have shown a relentless, dogged determination to upend Dutch champions Ajax in the tournament’s semi-finals even without their talisman Harry Kane and on the back of a hat-trick from Lucas Moura.

More from Liverpool FC

After two meetings this year in the Premier League, Liverpool winning both of those contests by  2-1 scorelines, the Reds will get their third crack at the London side with everything on the line. With almost fully fit squads on both sides of the aisle, onlookers should get a treat to some of the most attractive football being played in the game right now.

Here now are five key factors that could propel Liverpool to the top of European football.
