2. Salah, Mané  and Firmino will be a handful for Spurs

Spurs will have to pick their poison come Saturday when they match up against arguably the most potent threesome in all of Europe in Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino, who have accounted for more than 65 goals this season. While it may not seem like an incredible tally, especially compared to the clip that they scored at last year, they’re likely to be threatening the Spurs defense in waves all night.

What could be particularly problematic for the London side is what happens when Liverpool get Mané and Salah out into space running at defenders, especially in counterattack situations, to operate against the likes of Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose if in fact Poch decides to play four at the back. Not always the most agile of defenders, it could be a long day for Tottenham’s back line if they’re not able to track Liverpool’s forwards effectively.

Factor in Roberto Firmino, a jack of all trades when it comes to playing in the middle of the pitch or further up front, or a Georginio Wijnaldum who has had a late season resurgence, and Spurs will be facing a bevy of challenges, that though they’ve seen twice already this season in league play, will never be replicable when it comes to training.

Again, Spurs will have to play a very disciplined, focused game to keep from Liverpool taking an early lead and piling on. Though we have seen Spurs come back from deficits before, one would have to think coming back against Liverpool, with their defense, is a different beast all together.
