Four destinations for Eden Hazard if Real Madrid fails
By James Fudge
The Bavarians said goodbye to two of their most decorated wingers in the 21st century.
Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery have now both departed and left a hole in the wing department with only Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman capable of holding the regular first-team spots.
Both are probably not able to propel the club towards the Bundesliga title and Champions League glory, so making a world-class signing would make sense for Bayern Munich.
Especially after nearest rivals, Borussia Dortmund, have already added quality in their attacking department for next season. Julian Brandt and Hazard’s brother, Thorgan, have joined Jadon Sancho, Marcos Reus and Mario Gotze.
Eden Hazard certainly fits that bill and the German champions have the requirements to meet a new challenge for the 28-year-old.
Talk earlier in the season linked teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi to south Germany and they appear to remain interested, however Chelsea will not allow both players to depart, especially as the English youngster is seen as Eden’s replacement.
Finances should not be a problem given that the club is one of the richest clubs in the world and maintains a healthy balance sheet year on year.
Chances – Moderate – Bayern requires additions in the wing department and fit Eden’s demand for a new challenge. Bundesliga is seen as a fast-growing with competition ever greater especially after another Hazard joined Bayern’s great rivals for glory next season.
Finances are unlikely to be an issue, however the club owners are likely to bulk at the price who only has two to three years left in his prime.
