On Sunday afternoon, Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp’s team took the streets of Liverpool to show off their new silverware, in the form of their sixth European Cup.
According to BBC, this is how many people were in attendance for the Liverpool celebration,
"It began at Allerton Maze and ended near the waterfront after moving slowly through a sea of red. Police estimated more than 750,000 fans turned out."

The number is quite astounding for Liverpool who only has an estimated population of 550,000. However, unlike in American sports, Liverpool’s fan base draws out of an extremeley small area. With teams like Manchester United and Manchester City just down the road, and splitting the city with Everton, to get 750,000 at a parade is impressive.
Not to mention the parade was organized just yesterday after the Reds 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur. It was not the best European final by any means, but Liverpool and their fans will take it nonetheless.
The victory lifts the English club over Barcelona and Bayern Munich who have only won the trophy five times a piece. The only clubs with more than the Merseysiders are AC Milan with seven and Real Madrid with thirteen.
It was only a matter of time before Liverpool brought home another trophy for their fans. The last competition they won was the League Cup in 2012, and the past seven years have been excruciatingly dry for the club. Jurgen Klopp has re-energized the players and the fans to make them finally believe in achieving something greater as a collective whole.
The famous saying is that the first trophy is always the hardest to win for a group. After beating Bayern Munich, Porto, and Barcelona in stunning fashion before the final, I would say it was not easy for the men in red. But now that they have that first taste of success, do not be surprised if they have these parades more often.
