It doesn’t take a genius to work out the main problem at Real Madrid…

Real Madrid is one of the greatest clubs in the world, that goes without saying. However, last season they suffered massively due to their inability to address the root problem. Hint: The problem was never the manager.

Anyway, now that Zinedine Zidane is in charge, they don’t need to worry about who is at the helm. The problem was the players, especially those who didn’t want to play for the badge. The performances showed through and it’s not acceptable at a club the size of Real Madrid.

More from Real Madrid

Former club president Ramon Calderon has had his say on the situation. According to Goal, the Spaniard believes that the club should send Gareth Bale out on loan. He has interest from the likes of Manchester United, so it wouldn’t be hard to find him a suitor.

Bale is the main culprit for being greedy and not playing for the badge. He seems to be happy to take a wage packet without actually putting any effort in on the pitch. This sort of attitude needs to be snapped out of him and if the only way to do so is by sending him out on loan, then so be it.

The Welshman is a talented player when he wants to be. This was shown in the 2018 Champions League final, where he came off the bench and scored a brace against Liverpool. This cameo also saw a contender for the greatest goal ever scored in the history of the competition.

Gareth Bale’s main traits revolve around his speed and athleticism. He is also an excellent dribbler of the ball and as shown, can take on a shot from pretty much anywhere. Zidane has the ability to whip him into shape, but following his previous work with the Welshman, Zidane may feel its more productive to simply ship him out of the club.
