The summer transfer window opens on July 1st and Juventus should be busy this year.

Juventus needs to start selling players this summer if they want to strengthen a squad that ended up being a disappointment last season. They also need to start clearing some roster space for incoming signings and to let their young talent develop. Let’s take a look at the players who should be offloaded this summer.

Sami Khedira

Can Juventus please get rid of Sami Khedira this summer? He is rarely ever completely healthy and when he is healthy he just isn’t any good anymore. I know this article is about players Juve should sell, but I’d be completely okay with it if Juve let him leave for free this summer. With Aaron Ramsey coming and hopefully another midfield signing being made this summer as well, there is just no reason for Khedira to continue to take up a spot on the roster.

At 32 years old and coming off only 17 total appearances last season there likely isn’t much of a market for Khedira, but it’s time for Juventus to move on from him. Emre Can and Rodrigo Bentancur are both much more effective than him and if Juve is actually going to continue to reinforce the midfield this summer then Khedira is the player who should be sold to make room. This move is probably coming a year too late and should have been made instead of letting Claudio Marchisio leave, but I guess it finally coming this year will have to be good enough.
