Paulo Dybala

I’ve discussed this move a few times already, but Juventus hasn’t really seemed to be interested in making it yet. Now that they have a new manager coming in and need to generate funds to improve their squad after a disappointing end to last season, this is the perfect time for Juve to sell Dybala.

We saw over and over again last season that Dybala simply doesn’t fit in Juve’s 4-3-3 formation and doesn’t seem to mesh well with Cristiano Ronaldo. This led to Dybala having by far the worst season of his Juventus career and caused his transfer value to plummet. We have been given absolutely no reason to believe that this is going to change next season, so Juventus should sell him before he has another disappointing season and tanks his value even further.

If Juve sells Dybala this summer then they can use the transfer fee to reinforce the midfield and the defense, which both struggled last season. They are rumored to have their sights set on a few expensive midfielders and possibly Matthijs de Ligt or Kostas Manolas. Selling Dybala would at least fund one of these players and possibly two if Juve chooses two of their cheaper options.

Even if Maurizio Sarri thinks he can get Dybala back to the best version of himself, his sale represents the easiest way for Juve to fix their problems from last season and opens up the starting right wing job for somebody who is actually suited to play there.
