Eden Hazard leaving Chelsea could benefit Arsenal in more than one way…

Eden Hazard was owed a move away from Chelsea for a long time. Now that he has finally signed for Real Madrid, many of the Premier League fans can take a sigh of relief. Particularly Arsenal fans since Hazard always seemed to perform against the North London side.

However, the fact that Chelsea is weakened is not the only reason Arsenal fans should celebrate this deal. In fact, the transfer could have a chain reaction, with the Gunners being a recipient of one Real Madrid star.

That’s right. According to Mundo Deportivo, Unai Emery is pushing his board for a move for Lucas Vazquez. The 27-year-old struggles for game time as it is, so Eden Hazard’s arrival will not do him any favours.

One club’s loss could be another’s gain. Arsenal is in desperate need of wingers this summer, hence their persistent interest in Yannick Carrasco. Signing both Vazquez and Carrasco would be the perfect window as far as the Gunners are concerned.

A large portion of Vazquez’s appearances this season have come from the bench. This is something which will frustrate the Spaniard, given that he is now entering the prime stages of his career. However, Unai Emery has what it takes to get the best out of him and Vazquez would be all ears.

One player in particular who would benefit should Vazquez join Arsenal is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The Gabon international is always scoring goals, however, at Borrusia Dortmund, he looked the most deadly when he was getting service from wide positions.

This is Vazquez’s cup of tea. He loves to create chances from out wide, being the unselfish winger that he is. While he does have the ability to cut inside, Vazquez is very aware that his best traits call for him to stick to his position.
