Juventus made a ton of headlines during the summer transfer window, but it didn’t lead to success during the season.

This summer it will be extremely important for them to fix last summer’s mistakes if they hope to capitalize on the limited window they have to win with Cristiano Ronaldo. They have issues to fix in the midfield and defense that would make a huge difference next year and could even be tempted to make a surprising signing to bolster the attack. If Juve signs a player from this list to fill each need then it would go a long way towards getting them back into Champions League trophy contention next season.

Adrien Rabiot

This one is going to be quick because it has reportedly already happened. Obviously this move is right up Juve’s alley as they have become the kings of the free transfer over the last 10 years. Rabiot is very talented and only being allowed to leave PSG at this point because of issues with him in the locker room. That’s not an issue I think we’ll see pop up at Juventus. Bringing him in at Juventus will make a huge impact for a midfield that was pretty disappointing last season. He can slide right into Blaise Matuidi’s spot in the starting lineup and because he was free Juventus should still have the ability to bring in another midfielder to play alongside Rabiot and Morale Pjanic. This move was simply a slam dunk for Juve.

Matthijs De Ligt

I’ve already discussed this move a bit in 2 previous articles (and it might already be a done deal) so this will be another quick one. At this point we all know why just about every top team in the world wants Matthijs de Ligt. He is a great defender and at only 19 years old we haven’t even gotten to see the best out of de Ligt yet. He has also shown great leadership qualities, especially at such a young age. Long story short, de Ligt would be both the long and short-term fix for Juve’s broken defense.
