Isco

This is one transfer that I hope Juventus will make every summer. I think this might be the summer it actually happens. Isco hasn’t been a primary option at Real Madrid for a few years now and last season was his worst season yet. He was limited to 14 starts and a little over 1400 minutes across all competitions and only managed 4 goals and 3 assists.

The progression of Real’s young talents, their latest signings, and the potential that Paul Pogba could join their midfield all point to Isco’s time at Real coming to an end. Juventus should try to benefit from Madrid’s disregard for such a talented player.

In spite of his lack of playing time at Real, Isco has still been a focal point of the Spanish national team where he has continued to show what Real has been missing. His ability to make plays in and around the box is exactly what Juventus has been missing.

Putting him in a midfield trio with Pjanic and Rabiot would give him the freedom to venture forward and give Juve that extra dimension that their attack has been missing. Juve hasn’t had a player who could provide Isco’s creativity in the midfield since Paul Pogba left.

Juventus has been recently linked with Pogba, but I think Isco is the better option of the two. Isco would be substantially cheaper, provide a midfield option with a comparable level of talent, and wouldn’t be the distraction that Pogba is. He also has experience playing alongside Ronaldo, which would help ease his transition when he joins Juventus. Most of all, I believe his dynamic play, passing ability, and positional flexibility would all help him fit perfectly into Maurizio Sarri’s style of play.

If Juventus can get him for a reasonable price then Isco would be a perfect fit for the squad.
