Roberto Inglese

Roberto Inglese has spent the entirety of his Napoli career on loan, but now it is time for him to find a permanent home. He is 27 years old now, which means Napoli is getting close to missing out on his peak value when he is sold. He has shown enough goal scoring prowess over the last few years to make him worthy of a starting position somewhere in Serie A. Unfortunately for him there just isn’t a chance that it is going to ever be Napoli. The presence of Arkadiusz Milik and Dries Mertens ensures that there is no room for anybody else to ever get minutes in the middle of the attack.

This makes him a prime candidate to be permanently moved to another squad to help Napoli fund the moves they are rumored to be making this summer. Fiorentina and Bologna could both use a big presence in the middle of their attack or Parma could even want to bring him back to help them hang around the middle of the table.

None of these teams is capable of spending big money to bring in a striker without making big sales elsewhere in the squad. That makes Inglese a perfect candidate to be sold to one of these teams. He wouldn’t command a big enough transfer fee to scare these teams off, but Napoli also only spent 12 million euros to bring Inglese in 2 years ago so it won’t take much for Napoli to make money on his sale.

This move would work out very well for all parties involved.
