Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane wants to get as much clarity as possible at pre-season in the United States, thus wanting exits before heading out.
As the days pass by, Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane are getting a clearer idea as to how the squad would look like. Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic have certainly been the impact signings, but Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo Goes and Eder Militao are also going to be integral parts of the squad. One of Christian Eriksen or Paul Pogba could be signed up as well.

Marcos Llorente has departed for Atletico Madrid while Mateo Kovacic also completed a transfer to Chelsea a few days ago. Raul de Tomas’ departure to Benfica meant that the Whites encashed in excess of a hundred million euros from their three sales. Sergio Reguilon and Martin Odegaard have already gone out on loan, whereas Los Merengues are even expected to extend Oscar and Achraf Hakimi’s loans at Leganes and Dortmund respectively by a year.
Diario GOL has reported that Zinedine Zidane, whose team reports to training on Monday, is expecting four more exits. James Rodriguez could be one of those who will depart the club. Napoli are being considered as prime candidates in the running for the Colombia international’s services and will be asked to pay in the range of 40 and 50 million euros.
Theo Hernandez spent the last one season on loan with Real Sociedad and despite honing his skills on the Basque County in 2018/19, Ferland Mendy’s signing and Zinedine Zidane’s faith in Marcelo has meant that he stands no chance of playing regularly at Real Madrid. Thus, he may complete a transfer to AC Milan for 20 million euros. Real Sociedad meanwhile are trying to negotiate a move for Borja Mayoral which could be confirmed soon as well.
Lucas Silva, who was one of Real Madrid’s most hyped signings under Carlo Ancelotti, is however not in the best of situations. At Flamengo, he is finding it difficult to find his feet and will be on loan with the Brazilian giants for yet another year. Next season, he will become a free agent and hope to return to Europe with some other team.
