Real Madrid has reached new desperation to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United…
The Paul Pogba saga seems to be dragging on for a lifetime. The Manchester United midfielder is not happy with his club’s situation and given he has just one year remaining on his contract, the likes of Real Madrid are all lingering around his position.
Now, according to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid is willing to let go of James Rodriguez in order to raise funds for the Frenchman. They also report that Pogba will set Madrid back around £150m, so it’s understandable they wish to get rid of some dead wood.

In a realistic world, James has no future at Real Madrid. It’s a shame to admit, given how well he performed at the 2014 World Cup and the hype he received around that time. However, since his big-money move to Spain post-competition, he has failed to live up to the expectation he set.
Real Madrid loaned James to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. While his loan spell was by no means disastrous, he did not do enough to convince the Bavarians he is the right man for them. Hence, they probably will not pursue a permanent move for him.
Paul Pogba is the much better option. While he has also been criticised for not reaching his potential, there’s no denying he is one of the world’s best midfielders. And under the right guidance, he can blossom to become the best.
He would certainly get this level of guidance under Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman always has his players’ best interest at heart, making him one of the best man-managers in the world. That alongside their shared cultural knowledge, Pogba and Zidane are bound to form a healthy working relationship.
Pogba probably grew up amazed by Zidane’s work on the pitch. In fact, this shows in the midfielder’s playing style. He is always trying to bring the ball forward and amaze the crowd with his touches, just as Zidane did. Being under the wing of the greatest player to play his style will inevitably serve Pogba well.
Who do you think will sign James Rodriguez and, most importantly, will his move be a success?
