The Gunners are yet to make their first team signings this summer…

Arsenal are said to be in the market for some fresh talent but the Gunners are forced to go on about their business with a limited transfer budget.

Here we take a look at 5 sensible transfers that could make the Gunners a Top 4 team and possibly a dark horse in the Premier League title race.

  • 1. Kieran Tierney

The defence has been a problem position for Arsenal for years now. They surely need to sign a centre back and a left back to beef up their woeful defence.

The signing of the 22-year-old Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney could be perfect for The Gunners.

The Scottish international has appeared for more than 100 times for Celtic and notched up 12 national team caps for Scotland despite of competing with elite Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson.

Arsenal currently have Sead Kolasinac as their first choice left back. The Bosnian is a solid defender but offers less attacking threat while going forward. Kolasinac’s best position is being the left-sided centre back which could allow the left wing-backs to focus solely on the attack.

Kieran Tierney could be of the same mould of Andy Robertson and if Arsenal goes on to sign the Scotsman, they could be benefited with his flair attacking qualities and he’s defensively very reliable as well.

The Scottish champions won’t sell him cheap, but a deal worth $20-25m might just make it happen.
