2. Arsenal has a more welcoming group of players
Arsenal doesn’t have much going for them lately. However, one thing which can never be criticised is their work behind the scenes. Their players are known to have good chemistry off the pitch, with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette providing the laughs in training.
This should never be the determining factor in a player’s decision, I’m aware of that. However, knowing this could certainly put a smile on Alves’ face. As he nears the end of his career and retirement, an important thing he would want is to feel welcomed.
While there are obvious exceptions of stubborn players *cough*, Laurent Koscielny, the majority of Arsenal players are looking ahead to next season. They would welcome Dani Alves to their campaign with open arms. Well, Alves doesn’t seem like a hugger, but a firm handshake would do the trick nicely.
The players are often pictured together at outside events such as the NBA in London. This is an important factor to Unai Emery’s way of management since his philosophy cannot be implemented if the players do not gel.
It’s also the reason why he takes his players out to bond with activities such as paintballing. I mean, he could be wanting to take some anger out on Mesut Ozil, but that would be a very bold claim.
Jokes aside, the togetherness at Arsenal is impressive, especially considering the position they were in just a few seasons ago. Unai Emery has come in and, despite not winning any silverware, brought his players together in his first season. This is attractive to any player, however, not the most important factor.
