Paris Saint Germain, having spent heavily over the last two seasons, have used a more traditional approach this summer under new sporting director Leonardo. PSG is the weakest at its midfield despite having world class midfielders in their squad and this has led them to look at various options in the middle to reinforce their team.
PSG has often lost key matches and one of the major reasons for this has been the performance of the team in the centre half not being up to the mark. Leonardo has made some quality additions to the squad this summer, snatching up Ander Herrera and Pablo Sarabia from Manchester United and Sevilla respectively and is on the lookout for one more defensive midfielder. Moves for players like Raphael Guerreiro, Julian Weigl and Idrissa Gueye are all being considered but the French club is also looking at another possible option in the Premier League.

Goal.com reports that Paris Saint-Germain is considering a year-long loan move for Chelsea defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko with a probable purchase option.
Bakayoko didn’t start off well at Chelsea and his poor start to life in London saw him being sent out on loan to AC Milan. Bakayoko endured a difficult start in Milan too under Gennaro Gattuso but eventually found his feet and started performing well. However, this didn’t see him bag a permanent first team place and the Italian club did not opt to buy the player.
Back at Chelsea, the Frenchman has started training under new boss Frank Lampard but his future at the club still seems uncertain. Bakayoko has displayed interest in playing for Paris Saint-Germain one day and said that he himself being from Paris is a big supporter of the club and that he and his family are “real Parisians” and that it would mean a lot to his family if he represented his hometown club.
Bakayoko still has a three-year contract left at Chelsea and played in the second half for the club in their pre-season game win against Bohemians in Dublin and is also a part of the squad that faces Kawasaki Frontale and FC Barcelona in Japan.
Will Bakayoko remain at Stamford Bridge or will he be representing PSG next season?
