In an interesting turn of events, Liverpool have signed another goalkeeper, however his contract is only lasting for the preseason.
Liverpool are super thin in the goalkeeper position, which is why they had to sign former Middlesbrough Andy Lonergan for the preseason. As of right now, Simon Mignolet and youngster Dan Atherton are the only goalkeepers available.
Alisson Becker is still on a break from the Copa America, Caoimhin Kelleher is injured, and Kamil Grabara has just been loaned out for a year to Huddersfield. According to This is Anfield, this is what Liverpool goalie coach John Achterberg had to say about the situation,
"“We need some cover in training so we thought we’d bring someone in who can help us [so we] don’t overload the goalkeepers in training. Basically we’re bringing him in for training and we can try to help him get fit and we’ll see how it goes from there. It’s like he helps us and we help him to get fit.”"

It is definitely not the signing Liverpool fans would be hoping for at this point in the summer, however it is a good mutual agreement. If it helps the other goalkeepers, then most Liverpool fans will favor the decision.
Jurgen Klopp has also claimed recently that Simon Mignolet is going to stay this year, which is a surprise after his lack of playing time in the last campaign. Obviously, it will be hard to get caps over Ballon d’Or contender and teammate Alisson Becker. Nonetheless, the Belgian goalkeeper took the challenge, and was a great teammate along the way, always keeping his head held high.
The Reds have also signed Grabara to a long-term contract which is a promising sight if Mignolet were to eventually leave the club. He seems like a proper prospect in his respective position, and being able to spend a year at Huddersfield will hopefully let the Polish player develop.
The news is really not significant, but it shows Liverpool are willing to help players out, and will only help their reputation among players in England and abroad. Lonergan will probably not even make the bench for the US Tour but it is still an interesting move to add a player only for the preseason.
