If the Real Madrid winger is on the hunt for money, then he may have found what he’s been looking for…

Real Madrid is preparing for life in the new season. After last season, things can only get better. They finished third in La Liga and failed to win any silverware whatsoever. This was largely due to their switch of managerial personnel throughout the season but now they’re ready to reignite their quest with Zinedine Zidane at the helm.

The French boss has already signed some big names in Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy. However, in order to make sure his players are ready for next season, he must be looking to remove any deadwood. Gareth Bale certainly falls under that category.

More from Real Madrid

According to The Telegraph, the Welshman has received a big offer from China. They report that Beijing Guoan wants to make him the highest-paid player in Chinese football history. This deal, according to The Sun, would see Bale land a staggering £1m per week tax-free. This is ridiculous money but should the Welshman accept?

Well, he has a lot of factors to consider. The main factor being, will a move to China benefit his career in any way? He cannot fall into the mindset of ‘anywhere but Madrid’, he must consider his destination and its perks.

This is where the Premier League gets the upper hand. While Tottenham will not be able to offer the wages that Beijing Guoan is offering, they will offer him a more fruitful career, playing in the top-end of European football.

Another factor to consider is, can he really afford to turn down working with Mauricio Pochettino? The Argentine is one of the best in the business in restoring confidence in once-broken players. Bale needs this more than most right now and he would greatly benefit from working under the wing of Pochettino.

Football is very much a money-orientates game nowadays. However, players mustn’t fall into the trap of chasing only money. Bale must prove his critics wrong by pursuing success so if he feels like he can achieve success in China then, by all means, he should be considering this as a real option.

Where do you think Gareth Bale will be playing next season?
