Real Madrid willing to let Gareth Bale leave for free as their search to be rid of him continues.

China has become another avenue for Gareth Bale should he be fed up and decide to leave Real Madrid. The main reason for that is because Real Madrid, in their ever-increasing desperation to sell him, would let him leave to China for free.

ESPN’s Rodrigo Faez and Dermot Corrigan report, “To resolve the issue, Madrid are willing to tear up the remaining three years Bale’s contract if he moves to China as a last resort because no European team has made an offer to sign the 30-year-old this summer.”

This comes just a few days after Zinedine Zidane publicly stated that Gareth Bale did not play in their ICC game against Bayern Munich because the club was in the process of selling him and that he hoped a deal was reached sooner rather than later.

It also follows Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, heavily criticizing the Real Madrid manager, calling him a “disgrace” for his comments toward his client. He stated as well that should Bale leave, it would be the player’s decision and not because Zidane was pushing him out the door.

For Real Madrid, selling him to China would end their troubles and there definitely is heavy interest there for the Welshman.

According to The Telegraph, Beijing Guoan are willing to make Bale the highest-paid player in Chinese football history. The article states that there is interest from other teams but given the economic status of Guoan, they are the only club in a position to match the wages he is currently earning at Real Madrid.

However, any such deal would have to be approved by Bale first and that is unlikely to happen because the player does not fancy playing in China.

Sport report that, in an interview with El Larguero on Spanish radio, his agent revealed Bale had two offers on the table from China, including the one from Beijing Guoan, but that Bale saw it as “uninteresting league” sporting wise.

Real Madrid could not be clearer about their intentions regarding Gareth Bale and potentially letting him leave for free to China is the most clearest example yet of how much they want him out of the team. If no other European team has made a push for him, then Madrid are shuffling very few options.

On his part, Bale is well within his rights to want to stay and have the club honor the contract they made with him. Should he wind up staying, he’s unlikely to feature at all and more power to him if he’s okay with that. It does not appear like this situation will be solved soon and if Zidane’s comments are any indication, more of this transfer saga will be played out in the media.
