After missing out on Callum Hudson-Odoi and Leroy Sane, the German giants have set their sights on Crystal Palace’s star player, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal for quite some time now.

Arsenal has been very quiet in this summer’s transfer window, and according to 90min.com, it looks Bayern Munich are going to contest with them for the signature of Wilfried Zaha. Bayern is in desperate need of another quality winger, after the departures of club legends Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

Niko Kovac’s side was keen on signing Chelsea’s young starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi, but he has recently signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge worth 100,000 euros per week. After missing out on him, they turned their focus to Man City’s Leroy Sane, but it’s not looking like they will agree to a deal with the German international, even though Pep Guardiola has given him permission to leave the Etihad.

More from Bundesliga

Arsenal previously bid 40 million euros for Zaha to Crystal Palace, but that was immediately rejected as they value him at 80 million. But if there is one club who can afford this hefty transfer fee, it would be Bayern Munich.

Zaha has voiced in the past months about his desire to play Champions League football, an opportunity that would be possible with Bayern, not the Gunners.

The German side has also emerged as favorites to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid, which would definitely empty their pockets quite a bit. The Welshman would bring some quality in the final third though, with the ability to play out wide or in the middle as a number 9.  He’s also been linked with a move to China, where several clubs are ready to make him the first player ever to get paid 1 million a week. For the sake of his career though, a move to the Bundesliga would be more beneficial for the 30-year old.

If they could somehow sign both Zaha and Bale, Bayern would be in very good hands as they look to get back to Champions League glory and defend their Bundesliga title.

There is no doubt though that Bayern can definitely offer Crystal Palace more than 40 million euros for Zaha and could even end up paying the 80 million that Palace values their star winger at.

Next. Madrid could let Bale go to China for free. dark

It’s extremely important that Bayern beef up their squad with more quality in the final third, and Wilfried Zaha could be the exact man to do just that.
