Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says NO! to Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale…
Gareth Bale‘s time at Manchester United seems to have come to an end after boss Zinedine Zidane publicly said that he wants the club to sell the Welshman and that the sooner he left the club, the better it would be for everyone. This has led to Bale being linked to several teams across Europe with Manchester United being one of the few.
Gareth Bale has been a long-term transfer target for Manchester United. However Independent reports that United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rejected a potential move for Gareth Bale. One of the reasons for this rejection can be is that Real Madrid would be keen to engage in a swap deal involving Bale and Paul Pogba, something that the United manager doesn’t want. Pogba has stated that he is looking for a new challenge and is trying to push for a move away from the club, but Solskjaer has always maintained that he would want Pogba to stay at the club.

Restating his prior stance, Solskjaer said that he does not want Manchester United to go back to their prior transfer policy of signing superstar players as that policy certainly seems to have failed with disastrous performances over the years from players like Radamel Falcao, Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku to name a few.
This leaves Gareth Bale with a very few options and a return to Tottenham would be possible with the Welshman’s wage bill being the only hindrance to the Spurs. Bale also has an offer from CSL team Jiangsu Suning, that will make him the highest payed player in the world. Moreover, Zidane believes that to bring Pogba to the club, it is necessary for Los Blancos to remove Bale’s humongous £550k a week from their wage bill.
Manchester United, under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, have resorted to a transfer policy that concentrates more on signing younger players and then developing them, which is obvious from the signing of Daniel James and the amount of play time Mason Greenwood has been getting recently. Solskjaer also said that sending Greenwood out on loan is not what he intends to do as he feels that the youngster is ready to be involved in the first team.
Given their change in transfer policy, a move to Manchester United seems to off the cards for Gareth Bale. Which club do you think will he represent next season?
